Well, this is a thing: Gambit tells us the local public radio station WWNO is hosting a New Orleans Sinkhole Tour on Oct. 22 for all you fans of sinkholes, potholes, and other perilous symbols of failing infrastructure. The tour is free, too.

Man takes a dip in Broadmoore sinkhole
Here’s one way to deal with New Orleans’ crushing summer heat and poor infrastructure. A Broadmoor man decided to take a dip in his street’s sinkhole, as captured in a WDSU video. He even pulled out one of those trendy giant swan pool toys.

The Canal Street sinkhole is getting fixed
The latest news in New Orleans' #SpringAndSummerOfSinkholes is that big one on Canal Street is being repaired, along with the buckling tunnel under the street. Bad news to anyone wanting a second annual Sinkhole de Mayo.

Tunnel Under Canal Street and Harrah's is Buckling
A tunnel built in 1966 as part of a planned riverfront expressway downtown, now used by Harrah's Casino for parking and office, is buckling—but don't worry just yet! Out of an "abundance of caution," the city is restricting traffic in the area.
