We've seen some big renovations this week running the gamut of styles — there was a sunny double shotgun in Mid-City, a massive townhouse in the Lower Garden District, and a modern upgrade to a humble Uptown house. Now you can take our poll and pick which is your favorite, or rant in the comments about why you hate all of them!
↑ Renovation 1: Mid-City shotgun double transformed into better shotgun double
In many renovations double shotguns are transformed into awkward singles, but this one decided to stay a double. The once blighted house got a sunny upgrade with a bright paint job outside and antique pine floors inside. Commenters took issue with the yellow paint, and one of you called the kitchen "awkward."
↑ Renovation 2. Decaying LGD townhouse restored to glory
Once close to demolition, one of a pair of decaying LGD homes formerly belonging to a prominent New Orleans talent agent has finally undergone a massive restoration. You seemed to like this one, aside from the one commenter who called it "hideous."
↑ Renovation 3: An Uptown home with a modern look and features
The once humble house got a big addition and modern makeover, both in terms of looks and features. One commenter said it's too pricey; another said it's more befitting of L.A. than La. Other comments criticize the white walls but praise the wrap-around porch. One of you made fun of me for using the phrase "statement piece staircase."
