Check Out This Uptown Mansion, Once Owned By Anne Rice

The queen of vampire tales, Anne Rice, split town a few years ago and sold off her collection of Uptown homes, including this St. Charles Avenue stunner. It came back on the market back in April, played a little of the on-again/off-again game and is now listed for $2.65M. Built in 1883 and located just outside the Garden District, Rice bought this 7,609-square foot, six-bedroom, seven-bath Victorian while writing "Lasher." Super-fan fun fact: a branch of the fictional Mayfair family, "Amelia," called this their home.
