Anne Rice 'Actively Looking' For French Quarter Apartment

Former New Orleans resident and gothic fiction writer, Anne Rice, is back in town for some book signings and a vampire shindig, and revealed a couple juicy tidbits in a Times-Pic interview. First of all, she is "actively looking" for an apartment in the French Quarter. "I want to come back to New Orleans more often, but I won't live on the scale that I did before," she said. Rice sold off her impressive collection of Uptown homes, including this St. Charles Avenue mansion that is back on the market. Haunted tales surround many of the properties that Rice owned but she admits: "I never saw a ghost in the Garden District or anywhere else."
