Former Mayor Marc Morial's Old Mid-City Home Lists For $685K

New, 7 comments

Former New Orleans mayor and current prez of the National Urban League, Marc Morial, used to rule the roost of this Mid-City house, which listed this week for $685,000. Morial sold the four-bedroom, three-bath, 3,911-square foot abode in 2008 for $463,500 and the Bienville Street home hit the market again in 2011, selling to the current owners for $425,000. Perhaps these nuggets of information will detract from some of the cringe-inducing photos posted with the listing. The 83-year-old house really could be something amazing — The stairway is beautiful; the balcony, porch, and back patio are all perks; the location is nice; parts of the house have sweet architectural details. But the choice in photos is just...peculiar. The cluttered laundry room? A closet pic but no bedroom shots? And what is going on with those bathroom cabinets in the "over-sized master suite with beautiful large bath"?
