The French government has warned its citizens about the dangers of traveling to New Orleans and basically put all of our neighborhoods on the "do not go to list." The advisory says the tourist areas, which they consider the French Quarter and Garden District, are "well monitored and therefore remain generally unaffected by violent crime." Houses are listing for over half-a-mil in the Irish Channel, which shed its sketch factor years ago, but it's still not a place the French head honchos recommend stepping foot into. They also say not to venture anywhere "beyond northwestern Dauphine Street and northeast Ursulines Avenue."
