1850s Marigny Triangle Three-Bedroom Goes For $624K

An 1850s Marigny Triangle home that listed for $643,500 in September is officially off the market with a $624,000 sale price. The three-bedroom, three-bath, 2,924-square-foot dwelling was originally a multi-family home and happens to be one of the three original triple Creole Cottages documented in the Marigny, according to The Creole Faubourgs edition of the New Orleans Architecture book series. Other back in the day fun facts: This Burgundy Street place sold for $20,000 in 1968 and $149,000 in 1986. The "rare and special offering" has a two-car garage, a walk-in sauna, Jacuzzi tub, and a backyard patio. It's worth noting that both the listing and sale prices were above the average market trend numbers in the neighborhood. Trulia says the current listing price average for homes in the Marigny is $507,346 and the average price of sold properties is $396,157.
