Stay In a Renovated Vintage Gas Station For $400/Night

Sure, New Orleans is sprinkled with hotels but they're all looking pretty ho-hum compared to this meticulously renovated gas station from 1918 that's available on Airbnb. A local artist bought the Mid-City property for $120,000 in 2003 ("I put way too much money into it from the beginning," he says of the renovation) and it's going for $400 a night. The 2,000-square foot space sleeps four – one king bed in the lofted bedroom, one sleeper sofa in the common area – and has two bathrooms, a gourmet kitchen, a rooftop deck, and a Jacuzzi. Itching for a month-long stay among the vintage signs and automotive memorabilia? It'll be $4,000.
