The World Trade Center demolition/development plan is not going to let some vetoed funding stop it. Governor Bobby Jindal shot down a house bill that would have given funds to develop the area between the convention center and the foot of Canal Street, but tourism leaders behind the project say they have other sources of money lined up. Plans for the site includes knocking down the WTC and replacing it with a landmark sculpture a la the St. Louis Arch. [Nola.com]
