This Jade Street Mid-Century Modern Could Be a Real Gem

New, 1 comment

Sure, this Lake Vista/Lakeshore home isn't as sharp as some of the mid-century modern beauts featured in the past, but with a bit of switching up in the decor department and perhaps some light renovations, this place could be golden. The 3,306-square-foot spread was built by local architect Charles J. Rowe in 1958 and the original owner has been at this four-bedroom, three-bath Jade Street residence since. The 13-foot cathedral ceilings with light streaming in are pretty nice — the listing does mention that "this home is all about the lighting," afterall (well, except in the kitchen it seems) — and the Terrazzo floors and cypress millwork is nothing to scoff at. On the market since October 2013, the ask is $549,000.
