The Audubon Louisiana Nature Center in New Orleans East, which sat under six feet of water for a month after Hurricane Katrina, is finally going to be rebuilt. "The three pavilions will be linked by 5,800 square feet of covered exterior boardwalks that will replace trails destroyed during Katrina. One of the pavilions, a 2,500-square-foot planetarium, will feature real-time views into outer space. Soaring, naturalistic architecture featuring glass and wood will connect the whole complex to the natural landscape that surrounds it." [NOLA.com]
