From PriceChops to Celeb Dirt, Bywater Home Finally Sells

This Bywater Creole cottage, which garnered a bit of attention after singer Solange Knowles changed her mind on the sale, has finally sold. According to zillow, the 175-year-old, three-bedroom, three-bath home with a "teak loggia" and lush "parterre garden" started out with a $565,000 ask in 2012 but was taken off the market a year later. It relisted in May 2013 for $498,000 and after the Solange saga this past fall, there was a $23,000 pricechop that brought it to $475,000, which is what the new owner paid for the 2,469-square-foot Congress Street home.
