If the Downtown Development Group's plans for this ten-story Warehouse District luxury apartment building come to fruition, it could be the most expensive rental property in town, with some units going for $8,000 per month. The Times-Pic reports that The Granaio, as it would be called, has Studio WTA architect Wayne Troyer, landscape designer Raymond Jungles, and interior designer Philippe Starck on board and will meet up with the CBD Architectural Review Committee on Tuesday, February 4. Joshua Bruno, prez of the Downtown Development Group and Metro-Wide Apartments, would be shacking up on the top two floors of the Tchoupitoulas Street building where one-bedroom apartments would rent for around $3,000 per month with two-bedrooms hitting the $8,000 mark. The super-luxe amenities that go along with these rent prices aren't yet apparent, but so far plans call for a doorman, on-site parking, a pool, a restaurant and lounge, and exterior "living walls" covered with plants.
