Cafe Habana Heads to VCC for Design Development Approval

Cafe Habana is continuing along its path towards eventual approval of construction. Last week's successful meeting with the Architectural Review Committee netted the proposed French Quarter restaurant yet another approval, bringing the project right back to the VCC, where its proposal was first approved a month ago. In that recent Architectural Review Committee meeting, issues of capacity and use of space were adequately addressed, though residents still worry that the projected capacity of 172 people is an erroneously low estimate. Those in opposition have already filed an appeal, which will be considered by November 6th. The VCC meets this Wednesday, October 1st at 1:30pm at the City Council Chambers.
