While the city was celebrating a happy Halloween and preparing for a jam-packed weekend of fun, the Housing Authority of New Orleans was hammering out more details in their redevelopment project that will see 200 vacant properties transform into mixed-income communities. HANO is looking to collaborate with local developers on this endeavor and issued a request for qualifications on Halloween. They'll then issue a request for proposals based on qualified developers. Currently, tens of thousands of people are on voucher waiting lists for similar developments.
