Blighted Homes Backdrop of Prospect.3's Home Court Crawl

Ultra-durable tyvek is usually used to wrap homes for weather-proofing, not on a completed home's exterior. The material takes center stage, however, with Lisa Sigal's Home Court Crawl. Sigal used the material as her canvas for quotes from the Suzan-Lori Parks play BURNING and the blighted homes of MidCity and the Treme as, ultimately, their backdrop. The play makes the case for "perform[ance] architecture" and highlights the frustrations of neglected homes as well as the hopeful promise of a future with the structures or, at least, their lots. Home Court Crawl wraps its way through the two neighborhoods this Saturday, December 13th at 2pm starting at 323 N. Roman St. A rain date is set for Sunday, December 14th at 2pm just in case, though the weather appears to be perfect for Prospect.3 exploration this weekend. We'll see you out there!
