The years-long waiting game for the opening of Crescent Park, a $30 million riverfront redevelopment in the Bywater and Marigny neighborhoods, will finally come to an end tomorrow. According to the Bywater Neighborhood Association's facebook page: "At the urging of the community and the BNA Board of Directors, the Landrieu Administration has agreed to open Crescent Park on a limited basis beginning tomorrow, Friday! Stay tuned for opening time tomorrow & more." Originally supposed to open in late 2012, the most recent delay was due to dirty dirt issues. Previous hold ups concerned who would even be running the show at Crescent Park and design issues with the elevated pedestrian bridge.
