It's been a two-month waiting game to find out who would take over the Louisiana ArtWorks Building, and according to The Times-Pic's art critic, the New Orleans Culinary and Hospitality Institute will be moving in.
Louisiana ArtWorks building sells for $6.2 million to New Orleans Culinary & Hospitality Institute, pending payment. Approved by city/state— Doug MacCash (@dougmaccash) February 5, 2014
Pending the $6.2-million payment, the 93,000-square-foot art complex-gone-wrong in the CBD will be a culinary school backed by local restaurateurs and colleges. Original reports tagged restaurant owner Dickie Brennan's name to the project but it now looks like his cousin, Ti Martin of Commander's Palace, is running the show with Delgado Community College, Tulane University, and the University of New Orleans
