Year's Most Anticipated Openings, Scary King Cake, More

Welcome to Eater Tastings, where Eater NOLA editor Gwendolyn Knapp shares the best restaurant and bar news of the week.

NOLA— Wondering what early 2014 looks like in terms of new restaurants? Eater has you covered with New Orleans' Most Anticipated Openings, including Square Root, Milkfish, Altamura, Carrollton Market and many more.

HARAHAN— Here is the muffuletta king cake from Cottage Catering in Harahan that's giving everybody the heebie jeebies. You've been warned: Don't stare at it for too long.

WAREHOUSE DISTRICT— Adolfo Garcia's popular Argentinian steakhouse La Boca is moving into his former a Mano space at 870 Tchoup. They'll have double the space, which is good, because reservations are already booked two months in advance.

NOLA— Lots of other breaking news this week: NOCHI is IN at the former Louisiana ArtWorks building. MoPho in Mid City is the newest addition to the freshly updated Eater Heatmap. And there's also a rumor that Meauxbar Bistro will be shuttering this weekend after ten years on N. Rampart.
