Milkfish Opens; Square Root Opens April 23; More

LGD— Surprise, chef Phillip Lopez and Maximillian Ortiz' 16-seat tasting menu restaurant Square Root is now accepting online reservations (up to 30 days in advance), and will open for business on Wednesday, April 23.

MARIGNY— The Franklin is opening shortly after Jazz Fest in the Marigny (corner of Dauphine and Franklin). With a team comprised of Lilette alum Jason Baas and chef Jim Brewer, expect seasonal farm-to-table cuisine, craft cocktails, a deep wine list, and more of a swanky lounge than restaurant. Here's a look inside.

MID CITY— Chef Cristina Quackenbush has just opened up the permanent location of Milkfish at 125 N. Carrollton. Quackenbush first introduced her Filipino pop up over two years ago.

MID CITY— Chef Michael Gulotta has just introduced a new tasting menu at MoPho ($55/person, +$20 for wine pairings), available nightly at 6 p.m. and debuting tonight, April 18.
