The British Pathé newsreel service recently uploaded 85,000 of their old school videos to YouTube, and some of the newsreels happen to feature our beloved New Orleans. Of course, there's hurricane and flooding footage but on the lighter side, there's also plenty of Carnival coverage. In the video above, which features a Mardi Gras parade from 1938, take note of the sparkling Saenger Theater in the background.
