Must-See Renovated Tremé House Asks $625,000

New, 3 comments

Lawd have mercy, this place is pretty! The Tremé dwelling was once a triplex but after a serious makeover and the removal of some walls, the property is now a 2,000-plus square-foot home with an 800-square-foot rental upstairs. A tipster pointed us in the direction of this Ursulines Street listing, which hit the market last month, and told us it's even better in person and one of the best renovations he's ever seen (for the record: he's not the owner, just a fan of a reno done right, he says). So what does one get for the $625,000 price tag? Per the listing, the hundred-year-old house has four bedrooms and four-and-half baths total, a double living room and kitchen set-up in the main quarters with two master bedrooms, heart of pine wood floors, quartz counter tops and glass subway tile backsplash in the kitchen, "antique Egyptian French doors," and stained glass. The last sale price for this home: $145,000 in 2012.
