Fisherman's Castle Spent Less Than Two Weeks on the Market!

"Fisherman's Castle," the head-turning, "what the hell?"-inducing, leaning, (not official) local landmark that hit the market less than two weeks ago, is no longer for sale. It's too soon to tell if the architectural oddity—which comes with a "neat and cozy camp with covered dock"—nabbed its $150,000 asking price, but the listing is definitely removed and we know that at least one "potential buyer" was eyeing the Irish Bayou property. Sure, the castle-like structure's leaks and fixer-upper status (the listing photos didn't even feature the "bayou medieval" interior but here's an inside look) and the fact that it made the list of "10 spectacularly terrible 'chateaux' recently up for sale," make this purchase a head scratcher for some. But there was certainly no shortage of local love for the 1981-built home, as the tipline blew up with darling tales from those who grew up pining for this curious castle.
