Home Tours; Oak Lofts Plans Scaled Back; More!

TREME—Here's a chance to look inside six homes in the Tremé neighborhood, plus an Esplanade Avenue mansion that's still in the makeover stage. The home tour is tomorrow from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and tickets are $20 at the door. [hfta.org]

BATON ROUGE— Mike Wampold, the same developer behind 144 Elk Place Lofts, is gutting the interior of the old State Office Building in downtown BR and turning the 12-story, art deco structure into a hotel. [Advocate]

RIVERBEND—Plans for the Oak Lofts have been scaled back a bit, bringing the proposed structure down to four-stories with 22 condos, and a 1,600-square-foot ground floor gym. The neighborhood association is supportive and the new design will hit the City Planning Commission May 27. [Uptown Messenger]

MANDEVILLE—Fans of center halls and Creole cottages might dig the fifth annual Mother's Day Home Tour that's happening Sunday in historic Old Mandeville. Nine homes will be on display from 2 to 5 p.m. and tickets are $20. [NOLA.com]
