Yesterday marked 75 years since the opening of Pontchartrain Beach, the beloved lakefront amusement park that was the New Orleans version of New York's Coney Island. Pontchartrain Beach called it quits in 1983, so let's take a second and pour one out for the Zephyr roller coaster, the Ragin' Cajun, and the tiki-style Bali Ha'i restaurant. [WWL]
