The Ritz Carlton Hotel's exterior is getting a $2 million restoration that will bring back some of the details of the Canal Street buildings that were once home to the Maison Blanche and S.H. Kress Co. department stores back in the day. Contractors got their hands on the original blueprint drawings and will restore an "ornate pediment" that was the original entrance to Maison Blanche.
