Presenting The Pickery's Neighborhood Market Plans

renderings via loopnet.com

Once blighted and crumbling, this under-construction Bywater warehouse that's prepping for its future life as The Pickery neighborhood marketplace now has commercial rentals up for grabs. The 16,059-square-foot space at 3014 Dauphine St. sold for $232,526 in 2012 to an LLC that lists Albert Walsh, a partner in Bastion Works, as its main man. The "architecturally amazing structure" can be subdivided, even built to suit "for the appropriate qualified tenant," and according to the listing, rent checks will be in the $12 to $23-per square foot range. Take note of the tenant block plan (pictured below) with a cheese display counter, a bakery, a wine bar, plus room set aside for a restaurant. Sure, those may just be examples of what The Pickery could house or is this perhaps the perfect space for the team behind the St. Roch Community Partners, who shelved their plans for the St. Roch Market (which, sadly, still sits empty)? As always, stay tuned.
