Fixer Upper With Intriguing Murals Pulls in $220,000

New, 3 comments

A Bywater fixer-upper that hit the auction block last week wasn't the money maker that the seller was counting on. The bidding kicked off at $200,000 and was estimated to pull in $240,000 to $340,000 but the 1,822-square-foot Clouet Street home sold for $220,000, City Biz reports. The three-bedroom, two-and-a-half bath abode needs a new roof, new floors, and other upgrades, but the place isn't a total wreck. The courtyard is lovely, the location is prime, and the column-framed murals are certainly interesting (anyone know who the artist is?). A spokeswoman for the auction told City Biz "at least 70 people" checked out the home.
