It's Official! Car-Sharing Service Coming to New Orleans

Big news out of the coming-soon South Market District: New Orleans is finally entering the car-sharing game. The Enterprise CarShare program will be based out of The Park, a $21.3 million development that's going up on the corner of Girod Street and O'Keefe Avenue in the CBD. According to the press release from Domain Companies, the car-sharing operation (it's the first to come to New Orleans) will start off with two hybrids, a full-size sedan, and a van. The Park, set to open in October, will have a bike-sharing program for residents of the South Market 'hood and the first public parking garage in New Orleans to have electric car charging stations. The site will also be home to Arhaus furniture chain, a CVS drug store, Fetch pet groomers, and a 2,200-square-foot public plaza.
