The wrecking ball will swing at an Oak Street building that houses a landscaping office and in its place, ta-da, the Oak Lofts condo development. Uptown Messenger reports that the demo request, delayed from earlier this month, got the a-okay from the Neighborhood Conservation District Committee. Because the site is in a historic neighborhood, Team Oak Lofts needed to get the thumbs up from the city panel in order to get rid of the 2,000-square-foot Amann & Associates building. For those just tuning in, Oak Lofts plans call for four-story structure with 22 condo units and a 1,600-square-foot gym on the ground floor.
