Soap Opera Star Lists His Uptown Home for $1,190,000

New, 5 comments

The Uptown home of The Young and the Restless soap opera star Christian Leblanc that was previously on the rental scene for $13,500 (!) a month has hit the market with a $1,190,000 price tag. The 3,859-square-foot space with five bedrooms and five bathrooms dates back to 1892 and is one of six houses built by Laurence Fabaucher on the stretch of Prytania Street between Marengo and Milan that's known as Fabaucher's Row. Leblanc (who isn't leaving town, just moving to the Garden District, we hear) scooped this place up in February 2005 for the nice pre-Katrina price of, ahem, $350,000 and a "high-end" renovation took place in 2007. The result: "An eclectic mix of beautiful Victorian details and contemporary finishes throughout," according to the listing. Perks include two balconies, off-street parking, and a giant third-floor master suite with a pretty impressive shower.
