Saturday is Habitat's First-Ever ReStore Art Auction

Habitat for Humanity is throwing their hat into the upcycled art fundraiser ring. Their first ever ReStore Art Auction offers works of art created with ReStore materials as their medium. Pieces range from a flowery cast iron chair to hand-decorated shovels and paintings. All artists are local and all pieces are donated, with proceeds from the auction going straight to Habitat for Humanity.

This free event at the Coq Rogue Gallery on Cadiz and Magazine includes food provided by Elizabeth's, McClure's, 5 Happiness, and Meltdown, as well as a cash bar care of Old New Orleans Rum. Entertainment will bookend the silent auction — Betty Shirley will kick things off and Billy Franklin and Mykia Jovan will close things out.

Can't make it to the event but still want to participate in the auction? Send ReStore Art Event a Facebook message with your contact info, max bid, and desired piece and they'll let you know the following Monday if you were the highest bidder.
