Grab Some Popcorn: City Council Approves Broad St Theatre

A planned art house theatre in MidCity has officially gained City Council approval. Just two months ago, the City Planning Commission gave 636 N Broad St the go-ahead and plans for the theatre passed unanimously at the most recent City Council meeting that took place January 22. The theatre will include over 300 seats, 19 parking spots, four screens, and the typical popcorn and booze fare you'd expect from a New Orleans movie theatre. The project is expected to be completed come fall of this year.
