Susan Spicer Restaurant to Take Over 1930s-Era Navarre Police Station

Expanding her Lakeview dominion, chef Susan Spicer is set to open a new restaurant in a 1930s-era former 3rd District police station in the Navarre area— the 'hood on the edge of Lakeview and Mid-City—after getting the OK from City Council.

The police station, which still has a "jail cell covered in graffiti" (gritty private dining option?), was on the city auction block in 2013 by Kevin Centanni. The restaurant will overlook the Lafitte Greenway. Seems like the relatively quiet neighborhood about to get some action.
