City Council's Confederate Monuments Hearing Was Contentious, As Predicted

NOLA.com reports that yesterday's more-than-three-hours-long public hearing on what to do about New Orleans' confederate monuments included "shouting, jeers and even a few threats."

We called it. Read on at NOLA.com for a breakdown of the main arguments proposed, and also some great pictures of exasperated council members. The City Council vote on the issue will happen 10 a.m. Dec. 17.
