Here's Renderings of the Proposed Piazza d'Italia-Adjacent Hard Rock Hotel

The city is down to one proposal for the development of two parking lots adjacent to the Piazza d'Italia, and it's a big, shiny, purple-and-silver Hard Rock Hotel. Canal Street Beat has renderings of the proposed hotel.

The plan calls for a "29-floor, 355-room lifestyle hotel" and a "14-floor, 155-room 'select service' hotel," with both including restaurants, a spa, and a rooftop pool. The double-tower complex would also include convention space, retail and a "jam school" space for the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts.

Although the city hasn't officially chosen the project, the Hard Rock Hotel is very likely going to come to fruition—the other developers didn't submit their plans before the deadline. C'mon, guys.
