The public art just keeps on coming: street artist Henry Lipkis is planning a massive mural for a furniture store at 2600 St. Claude Ave. depicting a New Orleans second line.
The 150-foot-long, 35-foot-tall mural, to go up on the furniture store made famous by this wonderful ad, by the Los Angeles-native artist depicts the major social aid and pleasure clubs that parade in the area. Lipkis is using Kickstarter to raise funds for the creation of the mural, which he thinks will cost $15,000.
