St Peter and Paul Church Officially Has a New Owner

New, 25 comments

[UPDATE:] For some added context, the complex has sat relatively unused by the church since the early '90s and formally closed in 2001. Its new owners have shown an interest in the building since the summer of 2014 and successfully petitioned to change its zoning in November.

St Peter and Paul Church in the Marigny has officially sold to Nathalie Jordi and others who are looking to turn the former Catholic church into a boutique hotel. Jordi and co closed just last week, buying up the 156 year old complex for $2.4M. Plans for the soon-to-be hotel will be finalized within the year and construction may take up to two years after that. No matter how long it takes, we'll keep you posted.
