It's Official: Four Seasons' Carpenter/Woodward Chosen As World Trade Center Developer

New Orleans' World Trade Center is one step closer to returning to the city's skyline as a functional building. Earlier this morning, the committee tasked with picking a finalist in the search for a WTC developer made their choice — Carpenter/Woodward, who will turn the building into a multi-faceted hotel and residence with 350 Four Season rooms and 76 condos. A malti-faceted display entitled "New Orleans: History at the Confluence of Cultures" and curated by Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates Jr has also been proposed in addition to an expansion of two wings added to the original structure. Just because Carpenter/Woodward has been chosen doesn't mean all the details have been hammered out. We'll keep you posted as to when the city and developer have officially reached a lease agreement.
