Former Anne Rice House Gets (Nearly) Exactly What It Asked After Nearly Five Years On The Market

New, 1 comment

The 1881 six bedroom mansion that was once home to the likes of Anne Rice as well as prominent Judge John Minor Wisdom has sold after spending nearly five years on the market. Sotheby's Realtor Matthew La Rose, who represented the buyer, reached out about this in-house sale, naming Sotheby's own Dorian Bennett as the listing agent. This 7,609 square foot home asked a steep $2.195M and pretty much got exactly what it wanted, closing at $2.1M. The seller walks away happy and the buyer gets a seriously pristine, historic home with a dozen fireplaces, (all in working order) sweeping crown molding and ceiling medallions, and even stained glass.
