The Cleveland-based home furnishings store Arhaus will bring its "signature lifestyle vignettes" to New Orleans when it opens at the South Market District on June 26, the company announced today in a press release. The retailer will anchor the part of the South Market development known as The Park, which will include a CVS, the second location for New Orleans boutique Hattie Sparks, a public plaza and New Orleans' first car sharing service. The first Louisiana location for Arhaus, a brand emphasizing sustainability and showcasing artisans from around the world, will include "a combination of marble and oak floors, and hand-carved teak panels and doors."
A grand opening party is set for July 9 (follow the Arhaus Facebook page for updates). Businesses are beginning to open in the development: The stylish Blaze Pizza opened recently, and the Paramount apartments are open. According to Domain Companies spokeswoman Megan McNeill, fitness studio barre3 and boutique Stonefree are slated for May and June openings, respectively.
