Mid-City Boutique Hotel Gets City Council Approval

New, 2 comments

That "European-style" hotel we told you about a few weeks ago, slated to go up on Canal Street across the new hospital that just looks like a boutique hotel, got the OK from City Council this week, according to NOLA.com.

Occupying a building that's sat vacant since 2005, the Hotel Loren and Suites will be a seven-story, 132-room hotel, with a restaurant on the first floor. The hotel will be a boon for the weird purgatory between Mid-City and the CBD, which hasn't seen a lot of action lately, along with that fancy hospital across the street.
