Construction Begins on Oak Lofts

New, 3 comments

City Business reports (story is behind a paywall) that construction on Oak Lofts, the condo and gym development at 8616 Oak St., has begun. The project was issued a $3.97 million permit earlier this month, so after two years of planning this thing is finally happening.

The four-story, 14,000 square-foot development will include 20 condos — not apartments — and a gym open to residents and the public. George Fowler IV, the residential developer behind the project designed by Charles Neyrey of M2 Studio, says construction should take about 10 months and move-ins could begin as early as spring of next year.
