In today's not surprising news, New Orleans roads are among the worst in the nation according to a report by a Washington, D.C.-based transportation research group posted by NOLA.com. In a list by TRIP of cities with populations of at least 500,000 with the highest share of pavements in poor conditions, New Orleans is ranked 25.
Forty-two percent of our roads are in disrepair, which costs New Orleans drivers an average of $713 a year, the report says. The cities with the worst roads? San Fransisco and Los Angeles came in first and second, respectively.
And this likely doesn't even factor in the never-ending construction happening lately. Someone needs to make hovercrafts more readily available like, immediately.
