City Business reports (story is behind a paywall) that a 90-year-old home on Newcomb Blvd., the very tony thoroughfare next to Tulane University, is the highest home sale of the year so far at $2.85 million.
The home's asking price was $3.3 million. The article says that in 2011 the home underwent a complete renovation and restoration, with design by New Orleans architect Michael Carbine. The 5,370-square-foot space includes four bedrooms, four bathrooms and two half-baths. In the backyard there's a covered raised porch overlooking a saltwater pool. No word on who the buyer was.
