Crescent Park, which is so hot right now, both literally and figuratively, has extended its hours so you can get some more park time in before and/or after work. The park will now be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Park manager KC Guidry said in an email that these hours will be reassessed in the fall and appropriate changes will be made. She also said that a lot of people want to know why the park isn't open later, and that is because the linear nature of the park requires more time to close before dark. So there you go.
