Make it Right and FYI Network Are Building a 496 Sq.-Ft. House in the Lower 9th Ward

New, 1 comment

There's more tiny houses in New Orleans on the horizon: Make it Right, which Brad Pitt feels "fantastic" about, and FYI Network, home of the reality series "Tiny House Nation," are working together to build a 496-square-foot, eco-friendly tiny home for a middle school teacher in the Lower 9th Ward.
The house, scheduled to be built in time for a "tiny house-warming party" Aug. 28 that's open to the public, will be solar-powered and LEED Platinum certified. The online decor retailer Wayfair will furnish the interior. Make it Right's Jordan Pollard designed the home.

Below are renderings of the house, which will be painted green in the end.
