In only three weeks, Make it Right and FYI Network's Lower 9th Ward tiny house is complete. Lurelia Freeman, a middle school teacher at Arise Academy in Bywater, is the homeowner.

The two-story house, which will be featured on an upcoming episode of FYI's "Tiny House Nation," includes 430 square feet of interior space and 66 square feet outdoor deck space. Nomita Joshi Gupta of Magazine Street eco-friendly interiors shop Spruce NOLA designed the interior and filled it with sustainable fabrics and wood. Zack Giffin, the co-host of Tiny House Nation, created the fold-down table in the living room that is emblazoned with a wood inlay representing the Cane River — the homeowner hails from the Cane River region. There's also non-VOC paints, sustainable hardwood floors and recycled glass countertops throughout. The home appraised for $92,000.

Make it Right volunteers also built a community garden across the house this weekend.
