Bayou St. John's Magnolia Bridge is Getting a Makeover

New, 1 comment

Magnolia Bridge, also called Cabrini Bridge because of its location across from Cabrini High School on Bayou St. John, is one of the best spots in the city for picnics (hello, Labor Day plans) and late-night, al fresco dinner parties, but it is a bit rickety. Thankfully, the bridge is getting a facelift: Mid-City Messenger reports the bridge will undergo a renovation slated to start in the early part of next year.

The website says Councilwoman Susan Guidry announced the plans at a Faubourg St. John Neighborhood Association meeting this week. The estimated completion date is mid-June 2016.

And now, just because, here's some Instagram photos of Magnolia Bridge.
