What was once a so-so bed and breakfast in a Greek Revival double built by architect Henry Howard is reopening as a "luxury boutique hotel" on Feb. 1.
The 1860s home will reopen as the 18-room Henry Howard Hotel. When the property was on the market in 2013, it was asking $2.85 million.
New York city-based Hunter Mabry Design oversaw the makeover, which "maintains the authenticity of the original double gallery 1860s townhouse style mansion while adding modern touches." Rooms feature works by New Orleans artist Hayley Gaberlavage.
Room rates start at $189 per night, and the hotel is accepting reservations now.
